Father Bill Miller
Vicar
William B. “Father Bill” Miller is the founder of St. Cecilia’s Round Top. A priest, writer, and speaker, he is the author of three books: The Gospel According to Sam: Animal Stories for the Soul 20th Anniversary Edition, The Last Howlelulah: Tails from the Trail, and The Beer Drinker’s Guide to God: The Whole and Holy Truth about Lager, Loving, and Living.
His sermons and keynote addresses, presented at conferences, churches, and organizations throughout the United States and Europe, are known for combining theological depth with humor and vivid storytelling, leaving audiences both inspired and challenged.
Father Bill has founded four music festivals and developed numerous creative worship experiences honoring the musical legacies of some of the world’s most influential artists. He was also a founding partner of Padre’s, the renowned music venue in Marfa, Texas. Over the course of his ministry, he has pastored innovative congregations in Hawaii, Texas, and Louisiana, each of which experienced significant growth and became a model of dynamic parish life under his leadership.
A committed advocate for animals, he has rescued eight dogs. He lives in Round Top with his dog, Mystic. More information, including his “Spirituality for Real People” e-newsletter, can be found at FatherBill.net.

Danelle Knox
Church Administrator
Danelle Knox is the quarter-time administrator. at Saint Cecilia’s.
A native of Houston, Danelle relocated to Brenham in 2016, where she and her husband, Joel, served as pastors of the Vineyard Church. Together they also led worship. They have three grown children, Chris, Jessica, and Anna, along with a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, three grand-dogs, and two grand-cats. Danelle and Joel enjoy road trips and the sense of discovery that comes with exploring new places.
Joyce Bacak
Bookeeper
Joyce Bacak was born in Weimar and graduated from Weimar High School before continuing her studies at Wharton County Junior College, where she earned degrees in Data Processing and Accounting. After four years at Shell Oil in Houston, she moved to Flatonia to marry her husband, Lee Bacak, 42 years ago.
They have two sons: Patrick, who lives in the Freyburg area and works in the oilfield, and Lee Jr., who resides in Santa Monica, California, and works in the film industry.
Joyce worked in the accounting field for 43 years before retiring from full-time employment in November 2021. Upon retirement, she and her husband relocated to a portion of her mother’s home place outside Hallettsville. She now operates her own bookkeeping business, while her husband enjoys working on small engines and caring for their property.
They are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville.
